Gulden is a development economist with twelve years of experience in economic appraisals (including cost benefit analyses), VfM analyses, and VfM framework design. She has worked for government departments and major development partners including FCDO, the World Bank, the European Union and USAID. Gulden has extensive experience of working in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, and Nigeria as a VfM Advisor, both on large scale infrastructure and urban development programmes and on private sector development programmes funded by FCDO. Previously, she was a VfM Advisor for the £560m Humanitarian portfolio of FCDO South Sudan, where she supported implementing partners in setting up VfM frameworks and conducting VfM assessments.
Gulden has an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (with first class honours)in International Studies from Ankara University.
