Dr. Kingsuk Misra

Dr. Kingsuk Misra is a health systems expert with several years of experience working in health systems strengthening and its social determinants in an integrated manner. He has a strong understanding of the health system in South Asia and has contributed to various state and national governments in South Asia, particularly in: Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child Plus Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A); neglected tropical diseases (NTD); the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) including antimicrobial resistance; HIV/AIDS; substance abuse; and immunisation programmes. He has also been part of evaluations, third party monitoring, and Value for Money reviews of NTD programmes in several African countries. He previously worked with WHO in its polio eradication and NTD programmes and with various other programmes supported by multilateral, bilateral and private donors. 

Dr. Misra is a graduate in Medicine and Surgery from Calcutta University, India. He completed his MPhil in Hospital and Health Systems Management at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, in Pilani, India. He holds a certificate on HIV and health systems strengthening from the Royal Tropical Institute and is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the U.S. Department of State.
