APHRC Gender analysis and scoping review
The Project
The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) called for a comprehensive situational analysis and scoping review on gender – a pivotal step towards aligning the organization’s strategic objectives with evidence-based gender equity best-practices and agendas. This assignment aligned with APHRC’s strategic objectives with evidence-based gender equity best practices. The assignment included a situational analysis and scoping review which examined how APHRC could 1) strengthen its internal gender policies and practices 2) advance programme excellence by benchmarking against global best practices and identifying innovative strategies for gender integration 3) co-create a robust monitoring, evaluation and learning framework tailored to APHRC’s needs and goals.

- Explored how gender and inclusion are woven into an African research institution’s strategies, systems, and culture
