VFM Review of FCDO’s research programmes in East Africa and South Asia
The Project
UK FCDO’s East Africa Research and Innovation Hub (EARIH) and the South Asia Country Research Fund (SACRF) provided support to country offices to develop evidence-informed decision-making within FCDO and the wider development community. LAMP conducted an end of programme review looking at the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability and equity of the two programmes. The review included key informant interviews, document review at fund-level and a case study approach that looked at nine research projects in more depth. Learning was an important aspect of this review and LAMP developed a set of recommendations in collaboration with FCDO to feed into the development of the new Evidence Fund manager.
